Hold Me Close

One of my numerous new deliveries this week was this awesome fitted maxi skirt from Lavish Alice, I've always admired these from afar, and thought they look awesome on people. I wasn't quite sure about how it would suit me, but styled with a loose top & my blazer for work this week worked quite well. The blazer smartened the look up a bit & was a bit of a safety blanket.
I did feel a little conscious in the skirt as it totally shows off every lump & bump (and massively enhances ye old hippies) and you can see the top underneath too - oops. But hey ho, you just have to work with what you have eh. The grey top is my Topshop dip hem one, and literally is one of my most worn items. It cost £12 and I've got so much wear from it - whether it's styled with jeans or disco pants, or used as a top with skirts. It's so versatile and well worth the pennies.
. Lavish Alice Fitted Maxi Skirt £7.50 (c/o) . Topshop Grey T shirt £12 . Dune Wedges .

I am soooo happy it's the weekend soon, and I have a pretty nice afternoon lined up too, work related I promise :) We have a lovely afternoon tea at Dean Street Townhouse lined up which will be absolutely awesome and a very luxurious start to my weekend. Yummy, cakes, tea and sarnies. I can't wait. And then tonight I get to drive my new car back home to Winchester which i'm sadly so looking forward to.

What do you think of this outfit and how I've styled this skirt? What would you wear with it - i'm keen to find more ways to style it.

  12. I love the styling of this skirt. I considered buying a lovely plum maxi skirt from New Look but wasn't sure how to style it for this time of the year. Now I really wish I'd bought it! So versatile.
