Now I have a potential summer holiday in sight, i'm all over planning my summer outfits. I've been buying shorts left right and center this last 3 months (sadly having to team them with tights), and when I saw these Lavish Alice beauts I thought why not add another to my collection. I've been obsessing over silk paisley / print shorts for ages now, but always get the fear of tight silk on the buttocks area - risky business that. But I've been really impressed with these shorts, they tick the print silk box but avoid any of that tight clinging which I just hate.

Despite the fear, these shorts actually do not do any of the things I hate about silk hot pants. It's not too easy to tell in these pictures, but the shorts are actually quite loose fitting, and as they're a little too big they sit more on my hip (opposed to waist) making them a little longer (as opposed to up the butt hot pants) which I really like. The cut and design of these actually make me feel way more comfortable in them than I'd expected. No knicker sandwiches here.
This is actually my first Lavish Alice item and I'm so in love with the brand. I fortunately got gifted these beauties, but had such a hard time picking my favourite item as there are just so many incredible pieces in the collection. A massive favourite of mine is their fruit print collection, bra-lets, trousers and body con dresses all with vibrant summer floral or fruit prints. Sadly they had none in a size 8, so instead I got these gorgeous print shorts. Blessing in disguise perhaps as I love these.
What do you think of this look, are you a fan of the silk print short style? How would you wear them?
